Trainers Bureau

Do Something Special for Your Faculty and Staff. Bring quality training to your campus with the @ONE Trainers' Bureau.

Ever wanted to have a professional trainer come directly to your campus for your faculty and/or staff? The @ONE Trainers' Bureau may be just the ticket. This Bureau houses a large and growing number of skilled trainers across the state of California who have already worked with @ONE or have been approved by @ONE. These trainers can use standard @ONE curriculum for your events, or depending on your specific needs, use customized curriculum, as well as provide online training.

Here's what Bina Susan Isaac, Dean and Chief Technology Officer at College of the Desert had to say,

"@ONE Trainers' Bureau played a critical role in providing College of the Desert cost-effective, high quality training to a variety of learners. The willingness of @ONE to customize the training allowed us to be responsive to our users' needs. The programs are flexible, hands-on, and convenient and delivered by professional, knowledgeable, dedicated and expert staff. We are extremely pleased with the outcome."

How It Works
It's simple, just contact Bill Doherty at 408-223-6788 or by email at bdoherty@onefortraining.org. In particular, he will need to know:

  • What topics do you want training on?
  • When do you want the training?
  • Where do you want the training?
  • How large a group needs to be trained?
  • Will the training be face-to-face, online (live and/or on-demand)?

Once you have answers to these questions, you will be matched up with one or more trainers from the Bureau. @ONE will first contact the trainers to determine their interest and availability. You will then be put in direct contact with the trainers so you can further screen them. You decide which trainer to use!
After you've decided on your trainer(s), contact Bill. He will handle all the financial, contractual and administrative details.

Training Areas
Here are some of the possible areas in which an @ONE trainer could help you:

  • Emerging Technologies
  • Course Management Systems
  • Multimedia Tools
  • Accessibility
  • Pedagogy
  • Assessment/Evaluation
  • Productivity Applications
  • Video/Audio Production
  • Collaboration Tools
  • Support Services
  • Custom Course of your choice

How Much Does It Cost?
All trainers use a standard set of rates set by @ONE. The only variable would be travel expenses and any specific required mthird party learning materials, which will be billed to you on an actual cost basis . With trainers throughout the state as well as the possibility of online training, travel costs can be kept to a minimum.

Face-to-Face Training, a standard day of training is 5 to 6 hours of facilitation normally running 9 to 3 or 9 to 3:30 with no more than 25 participants:

  • 1 day $700 plus actual travel expenses
  • 2 day $1500 plus actual travel expenses
  • 3 day $2200 plus actual travel expenses

Prices to your college would include above rates, plus the actual travel expenses incurred by the trainer. The trainer would be reimbursed for actual travel expenses. All financial transactions would be handled by @ONE through Evergreen Valley College.

Confer or Online Training, a standard session would be 1-4 hours of synchronous training possibly coupled with asynchronous (on-demand) training. These trainings would be charged following the scale below:

  • 1 hour session $100
  • 2 hour session $175
  • 3 hour session $250
  • 4 hour session $325

Other Options and Services, if a college requests an online training beyond 4 hours, or a full online course, or virtual hybrid course, or a modification of existing curriculum, terms would be negotiated on a case-by-case basis with the college by @ONE. We can also provide custom training materials and courses.
