The Future of Learning Institutions in a Digital Age
In a recently released report by Cathy Davidson and David Goldberg, they research and address the issue raised by the title: are the current learning institutions viable in a digital age? If they are, what shape or form do they need to take? One of the more provocative statements in the conclusion of the report is:"No institution of higher education in the country today has tested in a comprehensive way new methods of learning based on peer-to-peer distributed systems of collaborative work characteristic of the new Internet age."
A more comprehensive book based on the report will be published soon.
