Increasing Student Success with Google Sites

with Michelle Pacansky-Brock

Wed, 10/13/2010 - 12:00pm - 1:00pm (Pacific Time)

Are you tired of having online students drop your class in the first week, while other students are waiting to get in?  Try this practical strategy designed to increase the number of prepared students in your class on day one!  Google Sites is a free resources that enables you to create a simple website (without any  knowledge of html).  Create your "Online Professor" Google Site complete with your course syllabi, policies, requirements and a welcome greeting for your prospective students.  Share the link in a practical location, like your online class schedule, and give students the power to select and enroll in classes that meet their unique needs.  More of them will be prepared and ready to learn on day one!
