Creating Your Own Instructional Videos - Without a Camera

with Rena Petrello
Thu, 03/07/2013 - 12:00pm - 1:00pm (Pacific Time)

Are you interested in recording a series of lectures for a hybrid or online class, or to "flip" a classroom (create more opportunities for lessons to be learned at home)? Have you ever wanted to demonstrate a topic, but lacked the time in class to cover it? Or, have you ever wanted to show students how to navigate a particular website or to answer common questions that are asked every semester? If so, this @ONE Desktop Webinar is for you.

Students can't "rewind" your lecture while you teach…but they can rewind a video lecture! Students appreciate having an opportunity to watch and re-watch a lecture on a difficult or complex topic. Rena Petrello, math professor at Moorpark College, created multiple award-winning instructional videos for Cengage Learning; most of those videos were created in the comfort of her own home using a headset microphone, a pen mouse (to write in "digital ink"), and Camtasia screen recording software.
